The New Normal

COVID-19 SCREENING PROTOCOL: YOU MUST ANSWER "NO" TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS. IF YOU ANSWER YES TO ANY OF THESE QUESTIONS PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE STUDIO. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR ONLINE CLASSES!

ARE YOU SICK OR SYMPTOMATIC?
HAVE YOU TRAVELLED OUTSIDE ATLANTIC CANADA WITHIN THE LAST 14 DAYS?
ARE YOU A CLOSE CONTACT OF A CONFIRMED CASE OF COVID-19?
ARE YOU WAITING FOR RESULTS OF A COVID-19 TEST?

Thank you to all our valued clients for your support and dedication to our studio. We are impressed with the consistency in your practice and your commitment to taking care of yourself during this unprecedented time. The Pilates Barre Halifax will continue to offer online classes along with in studio-classes. That being said, we have a new normal that will take some getting used to but we will work on it together to keep each other healthy.

The New Normal

A selection of in-studio classes will also be live-streamed on Zoom. This means that the class will be on camera in order for the teacher to be visible to the at home participants. In-studio classes involving clients will not be recorded, used for on demand video production or visible to anyone who is not a TPBHFX client. Keep in mind that the participants at home are not watching you, they are paying attention to their own practice.

As of July 1st 2020, the no-show and late cancel policies will apply to both online and in-studio classes. We will be limiting our online class numbers to maintain the quality of our instruction. You must sign up for all classes online before entering the studio, there are no walk-ins permitted. You may not sign up for an in-studio class and switch to the online time slot outside of the 8 hour cancellation period without paying a late-cancel fee.

Please be mindful of your own schedule as part of your own self-care. You are important and so are your workouts! Make sure that you have enough time to change, wash your hands and use the washroom without disturbing the flow of studio entry. Arriving less than 5 minutes before class is no longer a thing.

There will be spots highlighted on the floor to make it easy for you to know where to place your mat or where to stand for barre or tower. We will open our door 15 mins before class to allow people to enter one at a time. The first person/people to enter will go to the window side of the studio. The next person/persons will file in order to the  pink wall. Please give up the idea of your favourite spot to avoid confusion and stress on other clients.

Our Commitment to You

The studio will be thoroughly cleaned after every class with our Fogger. We have an HVAC system that will help keep fresh air moving through the studio at all times. All equipment and props will be wiped with a surgical grade cleaner after each use.

We will only allow class sizes of 6-8 people and client spaces will be 6 feet apart.

All staff will maintain healthy lifestyles and practice safe social distancing outside the studio. They will sign health declarations and monitor their temperature while being vigilant about listening to their bodies should they start to feel under the weather or exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms. They will report any potential known contact with the virus.

Staff will not enter the studio for 14 days if they have travelled outside of the province.

Staff will wash their hands frequently, wear a mask or shield and remain 6 feet away from clients as much as possible.

There will no longer be any hands on adjustments or physical contact of any kind.
