Pelvic Floor Workshop with Heather Dennis
How well do you know your pelvic floor? Looking for a stronger abdominal region, optimal organ functioning, better posture, and relief of back pain? The tissues that make up your pelvic floor are also a part of your hip joint and are considered to be either hypertonic (tight) or hypotonic (loose). Join master teacher Heather Dennis assisted by Erika Ferguson to learn about the pelvic floor anatomy and the deep core muscles that connect and work with the pelvic floor. We will explore breath patterns and exercises that work to release, strengthen and stabilize the pelvic floor to create a better connection to the deep core muscles as well as build the foundation for supporting the movement of the body. This workshop is for everyone but especially important for anyone suffering from lumbar spine issues, hip or sciatic pain, pelvic pain, diastasis recti, digestive issues, and menstrual, bowel or bladder issues. A healthy pelvic floor should be bouncy and strong, just like a trampoline.

Happy Hips with Heather Dennis
The hip joint is a miracle and when it is working well it is a dance between mobility and stability. When dysfunction is present it can create a cascade of troubles to the core, to the spine and shoulders. People often lose degrees of small micro movements that the hip needs in order to do it’s job
In this workshop we’ll learn how to elongate the spine, we’ll learn how to support the pelvis and widen the often over contracted pelvic floor and explore the missing degrees of internal and external rotation needed for good movement.

Align Your Spine with Heather Dennis
Our spine is designed to move.It is also designed to stabilize and transfer movement from the arms and legs. The movements necessary are small and incremental movements that can be relearned and practiced. Paradoxically the spine also needs to be quieted and held still when we are moving , doing activities of daily living or performing exercise. This workshop will teach you gentle movements that will encourage the spine to release unnecessary tension and then learn how to align your spine for optimal core stability.

Hormone Hacker | Somatic Pilates with Heather Dennis
Learn how to use breath, an awareness of gravity and Somatic Pilates to regulate your autonomic nervous system which is key to improve hormone regulation during peri-menopause and menopause. This is the “weighted blanket” of movement practices that will calm and soothe , body mind and spirit. But don’t be fooled ,we’ll work deeply into the body’s Myofascial system through self-massage, releasing the tight surface layers that have been compensating for the smaller deeper tissues that are key stabilizers for the joints. Then we’ll use foam rollers and The OOV to activate those deeper core muscles . This workshop will leave you feeling relaxed, more buoyant and more connected to your own inner support system.
